During the creation of Magenta Skies: Rise Of The Berserkers, I realised that the story was much bigger than what I initially intended it to be. Originally it was meant to be a standalone, but I discovered around the ninety-one-thousand word mark that I had too much story to condense into one novel. So this will be a 3 part series, named, The Berserker Saga.
Because of the creative direction I’ve taken, I would like readers to look at my book, Magenta Skies, as a standalone prequel novel. It has no subtitles or series number on it, so it will be easy to differentiate from future releases. I’ve always looked at my work as a collective of singular pieces that connect to the greater lore, but I’m super hyped to be writing my own series. I never thought I had it in me to be honest. Sure I had plenty of characters, but I always thought to dedicate myself to that one great book, instead of spreading the story out too thin, or letting it overstay its welcome by creating subplots and scenarios that make no sense to book one, progressively getting worse because I had no more (quote on quote) bright ideas. I didn’t want to be that guy, haha.
So yeah, I’m proud to introduce this new venture. It is everything I want in a story, and I hope you feel the same as me if you read it.
A release date is to be confirmed, but if all goes well, it should be out late this Fall.
